Technology access

I have a computer, but cannot run or download software needed for classes

UIUC AnyWare offers virtual access to over 100 software applications for students whether working on campus, remotely, or in class. It also offers a virtual desktop environment allowing users to access applications securely, on multiple devices and operating systems including Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.

Technology assistance

For technical issues (ex. Zoom not working on my laptop), contact Technology Services at consult@illinois.edu or 217-244-7000.

Additional Resources

Student Assistance Center

The Student Assistance Center serves as the first point of contact for students who call, email, or walk in to the Office of the Dean of Students. Our Assistant Deans help students understand university policies and procedures, educate them about and connect them to campus resources, and support students in crisis.

You may contact the Student Assistance Center at 217-333-0050 or helpdean@illinois.edu.

Library Resources

The University of Illinois Main Library provides information on and access to a number of virtual literary and research resources in cases of campus closure.

The Library also provides Extended Electronic Access to some resources due to remote learning. Details are available on their website.

Student Wellness

The new UIUC Mental Health Resources and Support site helps connect students, faculty, and staff to services for mental health, wellness, access, and accommodation.

Campus Recreation strives to provide innovative wellness programs for the campus community.

This Mental Health Resources list provides websites and organizations with information, guides, and help for mental wellness.

Centralized Mental Health & Wellness

The Centralized Mental Health and Wellness website will help students, parents/families, and faculty and staff decide what kind of assistance they need and how to connect to services for mental health, wellness, access, and accommodation that are offered on campus and, in some cases, beyond.

Student Success Workshops

ACES Student Success Workshops are designed to provide students with an interactive experience to enhance their academic learning.

Policy: The Student Code

Both students and instructors will need to allow some flexibility when participating in blended or remote instruction. However, the university student code still applies. See the following pages for more information on the Student Code as it pertains to grades, attendance, and integrity.
